Could you imagine if your job was to go to work every day and write songs?
This is the life Bill Diluigi is living!
His songs have been recorded all over the world and he has had songs in the BILLBOARD and AMERICANA TOP 100. His songs have been used in CW’s Heart of Dixie, VH1’s Single Ladies, CBS Sports and Access Hollywood to name a few.
I recently interviewed Bill at the Musician’s Union building in Nashville and we talked about…
- How he got started in the music industry
- The importance of having musical mentors
- His recent nomination for a Covenant Award for Instrumental Song of the Year
- A crazy story about life on the road
- His best tips and advice for aspiring songwriters
If you want to improve your songwriting skills you do not want to miss this interview with veteran songwriter Bill Diluigi!
Hi Cathy, nice video. I wish I was in Nasville and could meet Bill in person, he sounds like a real winner. I have not been writing for the last couple months, but I do have three or four songs I would like to send to you as soon as I get back in the groove. I have been building a back yard patio. You have a good quality Video here, good audio nice relaxed laid back feel and I believe you will get a lot of response from writers.
Uncle Ted Beckley
Thanks Ted, feel free to send me the songs to listen to via mp3 to my e-mail. Hope the patio turns out great!
Cathy
I, like you, came to Nashville from California in 1993. I had some interest in some of my songs, but I needed to write better. Long story short, I decided to produce an album called “Snapshot of America” in 2010 with Larry Marrs. I used Nashville session players. It was picked up over seas and I had some success with it in those markets. I did not have the money to promote myself here in the states. Just some thoughts.
Thx,
Brad
